Da Nang's 'Storytellers' Digital Push: 100+ Creators and More Flights
Da Nang, Vietnam's central coastal city, is going all-in on digital marketing to grow its tourism. The city's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has launched a social-media campaign called "Đà Nẵng Storytellers", enlisting Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Key Opinion Consumers (KOCs) to promote the city through digital platforms.

100+ Creators to Experience Da Nang
The department plans to invite more than 100 KOLs, KOCs, travel bloggers, vloggers and content creators from Vietnam and abroad to join experience trips at the city's favourite destinations and traditional cultural sites, sharing Da Nang with the world through their lenses.

70% of Travellers Plan Trips on Social Media
According to the tourism department, 70% of travellers look for tour options via information shared on Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, South Korea's Naver blog and other platforms — making digital marketing a core battleground for destination promotion.

Deeper Ties with Japan, More Flights
Da Nang previously promoted itself in Japan at the Tabihaku Travel Expo in Osaka and the wider Kansai region. Vietnam Airlines reports flights from Osaka and Kansai to Da Nang have risen from four to five per week, while the Tokyo–Da Nang service will jump from seven to 11 return flights per week.

Building a City Brand Through Scent
To expand Da Nang's brand abroad, the city's Tourism Association showcased central Vietnam's signature scents — lotus, agarwood, cajeput, citronella, cinnamon, star anise and coffee beans — at the Aromas and Perfumes in Tourism conference in Nice, France.
With more than 2,300 hotels and resorts totalling 61,000 rooms, Da Nang hosted 17.3 million tourists last year. The beach hub was also the first locality in Vietnam to launch a culinary campaign, the "Da Nang Food Tour", issuing 10,000 cuisine passports for tastings at 50 restaurants — cementing its place among Vietnam's leading destinations.
