During this year's National Day holiday (2 September), sea and island tours in Khánh Hòa province continued to be the top choice for large numbers of travellers. Beyond those on packaged tours, many independent-travelling families also bought tickets to visit the province's coastal attractions — a clear sign that sea-island tourism keeps growing in appeal.

7,000 Visitors to Nha Trang Bay in a Single Day

According to Trần Văn Phú, head of the Nha Trang Tourist Pier management office, around 7,000 visitors took sea and island tours of Nha Trang Bay on 30 August, with international travellers making up nearly 40%. Most opted for tours to Hòn Mun, Hòn Tằm and San Hô (Coral) Bay, combined with diving experiences and water sports. Over the 2 September holiday the pier is expected to welcome more than 20,000 visitors to Nha Trang Bay, up roughly 20% year on year.

Orchid Island and Monkey Island Draw Crowds

To the north of Nha Trang, the Orchid Island (Đảo Hoa Lan) and Monkey Island (Đảo Khỉ) tourism areas — run by Long Phú Tourism JSC — attracted around 1,400 visitors on 30 August alone. Meanwhile, Vĩnh Hy Bay in southern Khánh Hòa also welcomed large numbers of holidaymakers, further underscoring the province's strength as a sea-and-island destination.

With visitor numbers rising from north to south, this year's 2 September holiday once again confirmed Khánh Hòa's status as one of Vietnam's premier beach-and-island destinations, drawing travellers from both home and abroad.
