Barcelona's Port Vell IMAX Reborn as an Immersive Exhibition Centre with Andrés Iniesta Experience

The iconic building reopens on 28 September with "Iniesta: el juego interior", a journey through the legendary player's life.

Those who enjoyed IMAX Port Vell as a cinema will be glad to know that, from Monday 28 September 2026, the iconic space reopens as an immersive exhibition centre.

The venue screened films from 1995 to 2014, and after 9 years closed it reopened as the official America's Cup Experience showcase until May 2025. Now, with refurbishment nearly complete, it reinvents itself as a multi-purpose space for leisure and culture.

The renovated cinema's opening show comes courtesy of Andrés Iniesta, with an exhibition tracing his whole life, from his childhood in Fuentealbilla (Albacete) to his latest project, Iniesta Academy, which helps young players improve their footballing technique through the player's footballing and personal values.

During the experience, titled "Iniesta: el juego interior", fans can relive iconic moments for Barça supporters, such as the "Iniestazo" at Stamford Bridge, and for Spanish national team fans, the legendary goal in the 2010 World Cup final.

Tickets for the exhibition's opening and the IMAX Port Vell's transformation went on sale on 24 August on the exhibition website, where a special draw is still open offering a Meet & Greet with Andrés Iniesta.
