This historic pastry shop in the heart of Milan was founded on May 1, 1961, by Giuseppe 'Peppino' Gattullo, a master pastry chef from Ruvo di Puglia in the province of Bari. In 2026, the shop celebrated its 65th anniversary with a grand outdoor party.
Breakfast, Lunch, and Aperitivo Amidst the Greenery
Gattullo's terrace offers the full house selection: from croissants to artisanal biscuits, sandwiches, and blueberry puff pastries. Among the pastry shop's most iconic offerings, the handmade gelato deserves special mention — each cup named after those who shaped its history: Domenico, Giuseppe, and Vanessa. These deeply personal names turn every spoonful into a story of belonging.
Each evening, the terrace also hosts aperitivo with mini pizzas, artisanal pastries, and signature cocktails, served until 8:30 PM.
