About

【Exhibition Overview】

The Hangzhou Global Digital Trade Expo (GDTE) is the only national-level, international professional exhibition in China themed on digital trade. Co-hosted by the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Commerce, and co-organised by the Hangzhou Municipal People's Government, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce, and the Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, it has been successfully held for four sessions since its inception in 2022. In 2024 and 2025, it was consecutively included in the Government Work Report, and the expo is permanently headquartered in Hangzhou.

The Digital Trade Expo serves as a bridge and bond for promoting rule connectivity and joint consultation on global digital trade cooperation, an important stage for strengthening industrial connectivity and jointly advancing global digital trade development, and a public platform for promoting new digital trade products and sharing global digital trade achievements. The expo will release digital trade development reports, cooperation cases, and global and national top-100 rankings, bringing together a host of debut, first-exhibition, and first-show projects with industry influence, innovation, and driving force, leading the new trends, hotspots, and directions of digital trade development.

The expo is organised in line with the principles of specialisation, internationalisation, market orientation, and digitalisation. Both the scale of leading enterprises' participation and the intensity of new technology and new product showcases have exceeded expectations. To date, it has brought together over 100 global digital trade leaders, including Alibaba, Huawei, Tesla, Amazon, Walmart, AstraZeneca, Pfizer, and Baidu, and has prepared over 100 debut, first-show, and first-exhibition achievements, offering online and offline audiences new technologies, products, services, and scenarios in the digital trade sector.

【Core Value of Participation】

Leveraging Zhejiang's pioneering advantages in the digital economy, the expo has become a core platform for connecting global digital trade resources and showcasing cutting-edge technological achievements. Its core value lies in the authority of a national-level platform and its capacity for international resource allocation.

The fourth edition of the expo in 2025 attracted 1,812 enterprises from 154 countries (regions) and 33 international organisations. Among them, 381 were international exhibitors, accounting for 21%, with over 70 being Global Fortune 500 companies; international business visitors exceeded 11,000, up 64% year-on-year. The guest country of honour, Indonesia, arrived on a chartered flight with over 100 business visitors and procurement demands worth RMB 5 billion. Delegations from the UAE, Spain, Italy, and other countries also participated, providing enterprises with a strategic window to precisely connect with global procurement resources.

The expo has built a one-stop trade platform covering all facets of the digital trade ecosystem, with a total exhibition area of 155,000 square metres. Adopting a "1+5+7" structure, it features an "Intelligent Digital Future" theme pavilion alongside seven specialised industry zones: Artificial Intelligence, Digital Culture & Entertainment, Intelligent Digital Mobility, Digital Healthcare, Silk Road E-commerce, Smart Spaces, and Smart Logistics. Exhibits span AI large models, intelligent robots, digital cultural tourism, cross-border e-commerce, the low-altitude economy, and smart healthcare, forming a complete ecosystem loop from technology R&D to scenario-based applications.

The expo stays abreast of the industry trend of "digital trade + artificial intelligence," establishing a high ground for showcasing cutting-edge technologies. In 2025, the AI zone was doubled in size, focusing on embodied intelligence, intelligent agents, and large models; the "Hangzhou Six Little Dragons"—Unitree Robotics, BrainCo, Game Science, Kujiale, RoboSense, and DeepSeek—made their first joint appearance, with humanoid robots, AI bionic hands, and quadruped robot dogs becoming the centre of attention; Orion New Energy launched the world's first intelligent boat-hailing app, while Xingwuzhong's "Turing No.1" cleaning robot secured over 1,600 unit orders. A total of 185 new technologies and products were released at the expo, with AI-related debuts accounting for 63.2%.

The expo reconstructs the exhibition service process through digital innovation, creating a year-round value platform. The "Digital Trade Online" platform connects the underlying databases and integrates AI large models for intelligent supply-demand matching, offering full-cycle services before, during, and after the expo, extending the "five-day offline expo" into a "365-day online trade platform." During the expo, 1,219 trade matching events were held, generating procurement orders worth RMB 30.9 billion, up 106% year-on-year, with AI, cultural going-global, and cross-border e-commerce orders accounting for 82%, and international orders 71.5%; total intended investment and trade contracts reached RMB 161.98 billion, with 45 major projects signed on site.

For Chinese enterprises, the expo serves as a strategic gateway to explore international markets, connect with global resources, and showcase innovation capabilities. During the expo, a "Digital Trade Investment & Innovation Day" was held, pairing 132 sci-tech innovation projects with 117 investment institutions, facilitating RMB 19.6 billion in credit lines from ICBC to sci-tech enterprises; authoritative results such as the Global Digital Trade Development Report 2025 and the National Top-100 Digital Trade Enterprises Ranking were also released, providing enterprises with trend insights and strategic guidance. Participating enterprises can leverage this platform to connect with global procurement resources and upgrade from "product going global" to "technology going global" and "standards going global."
