Ruins of St. Paul's

It is the front facade of the Church of the Mother of God (A lgreja da Madre de Deus) located on St. Paul's Hill. Together with the Mount Fortress and the former College of St. Paul between them, they form a single complex. The name "San Ba" comes from the Portuguese word for "St. Paul" (São Paulo), and "Da" means the largest church, so "Da San Ba" means "the largest church". As a popular tourist attraction, many different events such as the open‑air concerts of the Macau International Music Festival, the Fringe Festival parade, and the Macau International Youth Dance Festival are held here and at the adjacent Jesuits' Memorial Square.
