Tour Introduction
The romance of autumn in Kyushu lies hidden in Saga's exclusive maple‑leaf secret spots! This Saga autumn foliage tour, available only from mid‑November to December each year, departs easily from Hakata Station in Fukuoka. No transfers needed, no need to plan your own route — enjoy a one‑stop journey through ancient temples and gardens, an art forest, a theme park and a thousand‑year‑old shrine, immersing yourself in the layered beauty of Japanese autumn maples and unlocking Kyushu's exclusive healing autumn scenery.

The tour first visits Kunann‑an, which opens only during the autumn season. This renowned maple‑viewing spot in Saga is a pilgrimage site for countless photography enthusiasts. The rustic sukiya‑style architecture, lush moss garden and mountains full of red maples complement each other perfectly. The most stunning view is from the window of the Japanese‑style guest room, where the mirror‑like floor reflects the brilliant red maple leaves, creating a dreamy and translucent autumn atmosphere with the shifting light — every frame is a breathtaking Japanese autumn landscape painting.

Next, step into the Forest of Environmental Art and Mifuneyama Rakuen Park to unlock diverse maple scenery. The private mountain forest is lush and verdant, with autumn winds dyeing the layered woods in brilliant colours; maple tunnels and stone‑step autumn vistas are scattered throughout. The park's giant rocks, ponds and red leaves blend together, perfectly combining natural scenery with artistic landscapes. Enjoy the rustic charm of the mountains by day and indulge in an immersive maple‑viewing experience.

The journey concludes with a visit to Yutoku Inari Shrine. As one of Kyushu's three major Inari shrines, the continuous vermilion torii gates and layers of autumn maples set off each other beautifully — lively yet dignified. Climb higher for panoramic views of Saga's autumn plains, and quietly offer your prayers amidst the maple fragrance and the shrine's spiritual aura.

The tour thoughtfully arranges local specialty meals, savouring Saga's signature chicken cuisine at Yoshinogari Mitsuse Chicken Main Shop. The savoury and authentic local flavours add a delightful culinary surprise to the autumn maple tour. Enjoy a worry‑free journey from start to finish, collecting the four highlights of ancient gardens, forest, shrine and gourmet food in one go, and effortlessly encounter Kyushu's most captivating autumn maple charm.
