Step into the Shakotan Peninsula and encounter Japan's renowned "Shakotan Blue". Hike the 770‑metre seaside trail at Cape Kamui, a relaxing 20‑minute walk surrounded by towering cliffs and crystal‑clear waters, enjoying an unobstructed 300‑degree view of the Sea of Japan's horizon, with the vast scenery of mountains and sea in full view. Next, step into the romantic town of Otaru. Check out one of only two remaining Canadian steam clocks in the world, listen to its delightful melody every 15 minutes and watch the steam rise, soaking in the retro ambience. Stroll along Sakaimachi Street, weaving through retro buildings from the Meiji to early Showa periods, and step into Kitaichi Glass to admire the dazzling play of light through glass and crystal in this dreamy space converted from a former warehouse.

Along the way, charming speciality shops and themed cafés each have their own character. Finally, enjoy a coach‑window sightseeing cruise of the unique reclaimed Otaru Canal, revisiting the bustling old days of Hokkaido's pioneer era.

To conclude the tour, check in at Shiroi Koibito Park and explore the origin story of Hokkaido's most popular souvenirs. Visit the chocolate exhibition hall, learn about the brand's history, and admire exquisite art collections.
