The itinerary spans the best autumn leaf spots in Dōnan: enjoy the mountain autumn scenery at Roadside Station Bōyō Nakayama; admire the spring water selected as one of Japan's 100 Famous Waters and the maple views of Mount Yōtei at Kyōgoku Fuidashi Park; and see the unique sight of cherry trees turning red at Mori‑machi Oniushi Park. Visit Ōnuma Quasi‑National Park, one of the New Three Views, where layers of maple leaves set off the majestic Mount Komagatake; at Hokuto Hachirōnuma Park, over 2,000 trees gradually change into autumn colours; and head to Trappist Convent, Japan's first convent for women, where the tranquil garden is brimming with autumn vibes.
