08:00 Depart for the autumn leaves one‑day tour

Fukuroda Falls — view the waterfall and enjoy the autumn leaves for approx. 50–60 minutes. Head up to the observation deck to admire the spectacular red maple scenery around Fukuroda Falls.

Lunch: Enjoy a local Kuji countryside meal.

Ibaraki Tsukimachi Falls — under the evening lights, surrounded by orange‑red maple leaves, creating a dreamlike autumn leaf viewing experience.

The waterfall plunges 120 metres high and 73 metres wide, with water cascading down the cliff in four distinct tiers, earning it the nickname "Yodo Falls" (Four‑Tiered Falls). Each season brings its own charm; in autumn, the maple forest embraces the waterfall, with crimson leaves contrasting against the snow‑white rushing water. The powerful cascade combined with the layered autumn colours creates a breathtaking and awe‑inspiring scene.

Next, head to Tsukimachi Falls, shrouded in romantic legends. The waterfall is 17 metres high and 12 metres wide, normally split into two streams known as the "Couple Falls"; during periods of heavy rainfall, a third stream emerges, transforming into the "Family Falls" symbolising harmony — it is also a renowned local spiritual site for safe childbirth and child‑rearing. During the maple season, the falls are illuminated at night, with warm orange lights spreading across the hillside of red maples. The waterfall hidden among the colourful forest creates a hazy, dreamlike scene — a must‑visit spot for nighttime autumn leaf photography.

Finally, step into Kainoki Valley, Ibaraki's premier autumn leaf destination. A clear stream winds through the valley, and on both sides of the popular Shioimi Falls suspension bridge, maple branches extend towards each other, weaving together into a magnificent tunnel of red leaves.
