How to Buy Tokyo Skytree Tickets

Buy Tickets Online

Advance tickets purchased online are cheaper than the official website price, and they can save you a lot of waiting time! On the day of your visit, simply present your paper voucher at the ticket counter on the left side of the entrance on the 4th floor of Tokyo Skytree to exchange it for your ticket, and you can head straight up to the Tembo Deck or the Galleria!

Buy Tickets On‑site / Exchange Vouchers

Follow the signs to the ticket counter on the 4th floor of the Skytree, where you can queue up to buy tickets or exchange your Tembo Galleria advance ticket voucher. The entrance on the 4th floor has a big sign that says "Tokyo Skytree" in large letters, making it very easy to spot. If you can't find it, just follow the crowd and you won't get lost!

There is a dedicated entrance for ticket holders with reservations, and the service staff in uniform all have little Skytree motifs on their uniforms – so cute! The queue for on‑site tickets is absolutely massive! We strongly advise against trying it, or you'll use up all your energy before you even get in.

There were way too many people queuing to buy tickets on site – good thing we had bought our advance tickets, so we could exchange them at the dedicated counter and head straight up, without having to endure that long queue with the on‑site buyers.

We recommend buying your advance tickets beforehand, so you don't have to wait in line for too long and risk missing the sunset – that would be such a shame.

Ticket No. 1 is for the Tembo Deck, while Ticket No. 2 is for the Tembo Galleria. When buying tickets, the staff at the counter will also kindly explain the viewing areas to you~

The Skytree elevators are huge, and the lighting changes as the elevator ascends to different heights. The only downside is that the speed is so fast it may cause mild ear popping – swallowing can help relieve the discomfort in your ears. In just about a minute, we arrived at the Tembo Deck at 350 metres!

Introduction to the Tokyo Skytree Observation Decks

 Glass floor and café at 340m

At 340 metres in the Skytree, there is a transparent glass floor where you can stand and look down. Those who are afraid of heights may find their legs turning to jelly – even our editor got a tingling sensation from the soles of their feet!

While enjoying the scenery, you can also indulge in a dessert or a drink and immerse yourself in the beautiful evening views. The Skytree Café nearby offers a wide range of desserts and beverages, including fruit tarts, Swiss rolls, chocolate cakes, as well as sandwiches and ice cream. Paired with the stunning view outside the window, our editor would gladly spend the whole day here!!!

Tembo Deck

At the Tembo Deck, you can use the large screens to learn about the scenery and famous buildings in front of you. You can spot Tokyo Tower, Odaiba, and even the venues of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics! You can see both the daytime and nighttime views, and what's even more impressive is that it tells you what that spot looked like hundreds of years ago!

The interior of Floor 350 has a café and photography services, and you can also look down over the streets of Tokyo, which is why it's always packed with people!

Tembo Galleria

After enjoying the views from the Tembo Deck, the main event is about to begin. Holding your successfully exchanged Ticket No. 2, it's time to head up to the "Tembo Galleria" for a walk in the sky~

Don't worry about finding the way – the Skytree has thoughtful directional signage throughout. Visitors heading to the Tembo Galleria must first buy their tickets, then take the elevator to the 445th floor, and from there walk up gradually to the 450th floor.

The golden sunset streaming through the glass curtain wall can truly make you forget your worries for a moment. The "Tembo Deck" at 350 metres above ground features large glass panels on all sides, allowing views of scenery up to about 70 kilometres away – you can even catch a glimpse of the majestic Mount Fuji. And at 450 metres, the glass‑enclosed, tube‑shaped "Tembo Galleria" features a unique spiral design; as you stroll along it, it feels like walking through the clouds.

At sunset, the orange‑red hues of Tokyo's cityscape and night view are also highly recommended. We suggest arriving before sunset so you can see both the daytime and nighttime faces of Tokyo! Being 100 metres higher than the Tembo Deck, the views are truly much more expansive – highly recommended! After visiting the Skytree, don't miss the souvenir shop on the ground floor – so many products there are Skytree exclusives!

Tobu Skytree Line, get off at Tokyo Skytree Station.

Narita Sky Access Keisei Line, get off at Oshiage Station.

Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line / Toei Subway Asakusa Line, get off at Oshiage Station, then walk 1 minute.

② Take the Skytree Shuttle Bus, Keisei Electric Railway
