Tour Highlights
Discover the "back garden of Sapporo" with quality hot springs, picturesque scenery in all four seasons, and the perfect combination of snow play and autumn foliage viewing.
Marvel at the majestic Mount Yōtei, also known as "Ezo Fuji", and take in the grandeur of this mini Mount Fuji.
Get up close and personal with over 100 Hokkaido brown bears—feed them personally and watch them wave and show off their adorable antics.
Enjoy the best viewpoint of Lake Tōya, taking in the caldera lake, the island in the lake, Mount Yōtei and Mount Shōwa‑shinzan in one sweeping panorama.

Travel through the mountains and waters around Sapporo, and in just one day you can enjoy hot springs, volcanic lake views, majestic mountains and adorable brown bears—no complicated planning needed, just sit back and take in the classic scenery of Southern Hokkaido! Located to the southwest of Sapporo, Jōzankei is known as the "back garden of Sapporo", just about an hour's drive from central Sapporo. The spring quality here is superb, making it a renowned hot spring resort in Hokkaido. In autumn, the hillsides are ablaze with crimson leaves encircling the hot spring inns; in winter, snow blankets the mountains, and after a day on the slopes there's nothing better than soaking in the hot springs to chase away the chill. Each season has its own charm, and the Hōheikyō Onsen is not to be missed—soak in the warm waters and enjoy the leisurely tranquillity of the great outdoors.

Continuing on, we arrive at Yōtei Mountain Meisui Park. Mount Yōtei, which resembles Mount Fuji, is also known as "Ezo Fuji". Its imposing peak stands tall before you—a mini version of Mount Fuji's magnificent vista. With pristine surroundings and majestic mountain scenery, you can easily capture healing mountain shots wherever you point your camera.
Next, we head to Shōwa‑shinzan Bear Ranch. Located near the ropeway entrance, the ranch is home to over a hundred purebred Hokkaido brown bears. Experience the thrill of feeding the bears up close—when they see the food, they stand upright and wave their paws in a bid for treats, looking utterly adorable. Get a close‑up encounter with the unique charm of one of Hokkaido's most iconic wild animals.

Finally, we ascend to the Lake Tōya Observatory, the perfect spot to take in a panoramic view of Lake Tōya. As one of the world's most famous giant caldera lakes, the crystal‑clear waters shimmer and ripple, with the island in the lake, Mount Shōwa‑shinzan and distant Mount Yōtei all captured in a single frame. In winter, snow‑capped peaks set off the deep blue lake, blending volcanic landscapes with natural waters in a scene that is truly breathtaking.

One tour covering hot spring relaxation, mountain scenery, wildlife encounters and stunning lake views—save yourself the hassle of driving and transferring, and comfortably explore the best of the Sapporo area's highlights. Immerse yourself in the magnificent yet gentle natural beauty of Hokkaido.
