Korea's largest shopping mall library, with a 22‑metre towering bookshelf spanning floors 4 to 7. The geometric, three‑dimensional structure has a futuristic feel, far surpassing the COEX branch in Seoul, with fewer crowds and better photo spots.

The huge glass skylight at the top lets natural light flood the library during the day; hanging colourful planet installations perfectly echo the "Starfield" theme. The railing on the 6th floor is the best photo spot.

The library houses 80,000 books and features lounge sofas, charging ports, and a vinyl café, combining reading, photography, and coffee breaks in one place. You can also shop and enjoy Korean BBQ at the mall.

Hwaseong Fortress (UNESCO World Heritage)

Attraction Highlights

A UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site, built by King Jeongjo of Joseon in 1796. The 5.7‑kilometre stone fortress walls combine military defence with traditional architectural aesthetics.

The fortress wall walkway is free to explore, featuring four main gates, observation platforms, and the Hwahongmun Gate. The atmosphere is stunning at sunset and when the night lights come on, making it a frequent filming location for Korean dramas.

Inside the fortress, Hwaseong Haenggung was the royal temporary residence and was a filming location for "Dae Jang Geum". You can admire the ancient palace architecture; a traditional military parade performance is held on the first Sunday of every month.

The route is easy and not steep, suitable for all ages. From the top, you can enjoy a panoramic view of downtown Suwon.
