Introduction to Haeundae Blueline Park

(Haeundae Blueline Park)is located in the Haeundae Tourism Special Zone in Busan, South Korea, and is one of Busan's most representative eco‑tourism regeneration attractions. With the core concept of "reviving old railways and coexisting with the coast," the park has transformed the dormant facilities of the old Donghae Nambu Line railway through environmentally friendly and ecological upgrades, turning them into an international coastal leisure and sightseeing corridor in Busan.

The park's coastline stretches 4.8 kilometres in total, with a route connecting the three major coastal sections of Haeundae Mipo → Cheongsapo → Songjeong. It fully preserves the historical texture of the old railway while integrating unobstructed views of the East Sea, coastal walking trails, and seaside green spaces. It is one of the few one‑stop attractions in Busan that combines "historical railway culture + pristine coastal nature + leisurely sightseeing experience," and is also a landmark facility at the heart of the Haeundae Tourism Special Zone.

Unlike ordinary city parks, the biggest highlight of Haeundae Blueline Park is its operation of two exclusive sightseeing experiences along dedicated tracks by the sea: the Haeundae Beach Train and the Haeundae Sky Capsule. They are currently among the most popular activities in Busan for social media check‑ins, sunset photography, family leisure, and couple trips.

Two Signature Sightseeing Experiences

1. Haeundae Sky Capsule

Busan's ultra‑popular aerial coastal sightseeing facility and the crown jewel of Blueline Park. The Sky Capsule is a colourful transparent aerial carriage available in four macaron colours — blue, red, yellow, and green. Its dreamy and unique design makes it perfect for photos and social media check‑ins. The carriages are suspended on an elevated track 7–10 metres above the ground, travelling along the Mipo to Cheongsapo section at a slow, steady pace with completely unobstructed views.

During the ride, you can enjoy 360‑degree panoramic views of Gwangan Bridge, Busan's coastal skyline, and the endless blue waters of the East Sea. By day, the clear skies and sea views are refreshing and healing; in the evening, the sunset casts a romantic glow over the ocean. It is a must‑try experience for couples and influencers visiting Busan, and one of the most talked‑about classic Busan experiences on social media platforms.

2. Haeundae Beach Train

A sightseeing train that runs along the full 4.8‑kilometre coastal railway at a relaxed, leisurely pace, designed purely for sightseeing rather than commuting. The train hugs the coastline, passing through forests, seaside walkways, and coastal tunnels, connecting the distinctive scenery of Mipo, Cheongsapo, and Songjeong stations along the way.

Riding the Beach Train lets you effortlessly enjoy the entire coastal landscape, taking in Haeundae's urban sea views, fishing village charm, and seaside green spaces in one go. It is ideal for seniors, families, and travellers who prefer not to walk, allowing you to explore the full beauty of the Haeundae coastline with ease and zero fatigue while experiencing the unique charm of a transformed old railway turned sightseeing corridor.
