Grouper, sea bass, black sea bream, yellowfin sea bream, golden pomfret, rock cod, sand whiting, octopus, crabs, etc. The success rate for sea fishing is about 70%. Due to weather and tide influences, a 100% catch cannot be guaranteed, so it is recommended to focus on the experience and fun.

In Huanghua Mountain National Forest Park, there is a high mountain. Climbing to the top offers a panoramic view of the boundless sea. At the foot of the mountain, there are several stone turtles, which are quite distinctive. The Admiral's Mansion and Song Well are both historical relics. The former was built in the early Ming Dynasty and was rebuilt into the Admiral's Mansion in 1983. Those interested in history can take a look. The latter, as its name suggests, is a well dug during the Song Dynasty, boasting a long history. There is also Die Shi Yan (Stacked Rock), a unique rock formation where two huge rocks are stacked atop each other, creating a very distinctive sight.

About Transportation

Nam O Island is not very big. You can reach various attractions by cycling, renting a car, or self‑driving on the island. There is also a circular island tourist bus route that you can take.

About Accommodation and Dining

Accommodation on Nam O Island is mainly concentrated in the Xiawei Bay and Qing Ao Bay areas. Generally speaking, the environment is average. Xiawei Bay is located in the southeastern part of the island, closer to the bus station and Song Well. The hotels here are mainly guesthouses, making it a good place to stay if you want to eat seafood. Qing Ao Bay is located on the southwest side of Nam O Island, near Changshanwei Pier. This means if you come by ferry, you will essentially be near Qing Ao Bay. It is a good place to stay if you want to see the sea view, and in the evening you can also enjoy the beautiful island sunset.

Most of the restaurants on the island are seafood food stalls. The seafood is very abundant, fresh, and delicious, worth trying.
