The China Railway Tour presents the Classic Hangzhou 1‑Day Tour, connecting four core attractions — West Lake, Six Harmonies Pagoda, Longjing Tea Plantation, and Hefang Street — in one seamless trip, allowing you to deeply appreciate Hangzhou's natural scenery, historical charm, and the essence of tea culture. Enjoy a relaxing and comprehensive tour, taking in the unique allure of this iconic Jiangnan city.
The first stop is West Lake, where taking a characteristic cruise boat is the best way to explore. You can choose the classic island‑hopping route to personally reach Xiaoyingzhou, one of the three islands in the lake, and closely admire the wonder of “Three Pools Mirroring the Moon,” which is also the background design on the ¥1 banknote. As the boat cruises around the lake, you will enjoy stunning views of the Top Ten Scenes of West Lake, such as “Spring Dawn at Su Causeway,” “Autumn Moon over the Calm Lake,” and “Leifeng Pagoda in Evening Glow.” With green waters, blue mountains, pavilions, and towers unfolding one after another, you will feel as if you are travelling within a painting, experiencing the poetic charm of this paradise on earth.

Next, head to the Six Harmonies Pagoda. Originally built in the Northern Song Dynasty, this ancient pagoda stands over a thousand years old on Yuelun Hill, beside the Qiantang River, and is a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level. The pagoda is 59.89 metres tall, with 13 visible levels outside and 7 storeys inside, creating a unique structure of “seven bright and six dark” levels. Climb to the top for a panoramic view: the Qiantang River Bridge stretches across the river, the mighty waters surge eastward, the river breeze blows, and the pagoda bells chime — a magnificent sight that showcases the exquisite craftsmanship and grand scale of ancient architecture. In the afternoon, enter the Longjing Tea Plantation, located in the core production area of West Lake Longjing tea. Terraced tea fields stretch across the hills in layers of lush green, with a faint fragrance of tea lingering in the air. Here, you can wander along the footpaths between the tea fields, watch tea farmers picking leaves, and learn the secrets of the five core producing areas: Lion, Dragon, Cloud, Tiger, and Plum. You can also visit a tea village to taste a freshly brewed cup of mellow and fragrant Longjing tea, experiencing the refreshing flavour of the “Queen of Green Teas” and immersing yourself in the profound and long‑standing Chinese tea culture.

Towards the end of the tour, you will visit Hefang Street, a replica ancient commercial street built in the style of the Southern Song Dynasty, serving as a microcosm of Hangzhou's history. Lined with blue‑stone paving and elegant Ming and Qing‑style architecture, the street is home to century‑old shops: Hu Qingyutang, Fang Huichun Pharmacy, Zhang Xiaoquan Scissors, Wang Xingji Fans, and other time‑honoured brands, as well as cultural venues like the Zhu Bingren Copper Carving Art Museum. You can taste local snacks such as Dingsheng Cake and Scallion Wrappers, and choose special souvenirs like silk and tea. Beneath the red lanterns hanging along the ancient street, you will experience the vibrant local life and rich historical heritage of Hangzhou.

This tour is meticulously designed for visitors, perfectly blending the scenery of lakes and mountains, historical sites, tea culture, and the charm of ancient streets. With convenient transportation and a rich itinerary, it allows you to discover Hangzhou in just one day, leaving you with unforgettable memories of Jiangnan.
