This half‑day in‑depth experience cleverly combines the health wisdom of Chinese martial arts Tai Chi with the cultural heritage of the Southern Song Dynasty ancient streets. With the core concept of "balancing movement and stillness, cultivating both body and mind", it takes you through the mountains and alleys of Hangzhou's old city, allowing you to feel the unique charm of traditional culture.

At the beginning of the itinerary, we gather at the tranquil Wu Mountain area, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, to embrace the peaceful embrace of the forest. Under the guidance of a professional coach, we embark on an initial experience of Chinese martial arts Tai Chi: starting with the solemn fist‑salute ceremony, appreciating the etiquette and demeanour of traditional martial arts; then through simple warm‑up exercises to stretch and relax the muscles, gradually learning the basic Tai Chi moves — the starting posture is steady and restrained, while the cloud hands move smoothly and gracefully. Each move emphasises the balance of yin and yang, being relaxed and natural, without pursuing speed or strength. Instead, through slow movements, you can feel the harmony of your breath and the relaxation of your body and mind, allowing your tense nerves to gradually settle down amidst the interplay of movement and stillness, and to experience the Tai Chi philosophy of "softness overcoming hardness".

After practising the moves until you are slightly sweaty, it's time for a pleasant tea gathering session. Sitting around an elegant tea table, holding a cup of fragrant tea, let the mellow taste on your tongue follow the afterglow of practising martial arts. At this time, the coach will put aside the seriousness of martial arts and chat with everyone about the connection between Tai Chi and life: how to apply the "relaxation" of Tai Chi to daily stress relief, calming down even when busy with work; how to adjust your posture through Tai Chi moves, correcting bad habits like hunching; and how to cultivate your character through the "slowness" of Tai Chi when dealing with the many trivial matters in life. Amidst the lingering tea fragrance, exchanges and insights collide, allowing wellness to transcend mere moves and integrate into the bits and pieces of daily life.

After the tea break, it's time for the ancient street Citywalk segment. We walk from the foot of Wu Mountain into Hefang Street and the Southern Song Imperial Street, embarking on a stroll that touches the texture of history. Hefang Street is full of lively, mundane vibes, with long‑established shops bustling with customers and the aroma of traditional snacks wafting through the streets. Every step you take is steeped in a rich flavour of life. Meanwhile, the thousand‑year‑old ancient road of the Southern Song Imperial Street is preserved under glass, with the stone patterns underfoot carrying the prosperous memories of the Southern Song Dynasty. The ancient buildings on both sides are arranged in a pleasing disorder, making time seem to stand still. Along the way, listen to the guide's stories of Hangzhou's past and present, and amidst the interplay of everyday life and history, deeply experience the unique charm of the old city.
The entire trip has a comfortable pace, featuring both the dynamic experience of Tai Chi for health, the quiet time of tea gatherings for relaxation, and the cultural exploration of strolling through ancient streets. Whether you want to release stress, nurture your body and mind, love traditional culture, or wish to experience Hangzhou in depth, this half‑day tour will bring you abundant rewards, allowing you to encounter a different Hangzhou through the collision of movement and stillness, and the ancient and the modern.
