Product Details

Yue Wang Temple is located at the northwest corner of West Lake, opposite Quyuan Fenghe. It is a place commemorating the national hero Yue Fei. The tombs of Yue Fei and his son, along with the four kneeling statues of traitors including Qin Hui, who have been kneeling before the tomb for a thousand years, evoke strong emotions. In addition, the exhibition hall displays historical materials about Yue Fei's life, allowing visitors to learn about General Yue's life of "loyalty to the country."

Upon entering the main gate of Yue Wang Temple, you will find a square courtyard. Straight ahead is the main building of the temple, the Loyalty Shrine. The main hall is dedicated to Yue Fei. Above the door hangs a plaque inscribed with the four characters "Xin Zhao Tian Ri" (Heart Shines Like the Sun), creating a very solemn atmosphere. Stepping into the main hall, you face a full‑length statue of Yue Fei in military attire, with his oath "Return Our Rivers and Mountains" hanging high above his head. The murals on the walls around the hall depict Yue Fei's life, among which the classic story of "Yue's Mother Tattooing Characters" is widely known. On both sides of the main hall are statues of Yue Fei's two great generals, Niu Gao and Zhang Xian.

After visiting the main hall, return to the courtyard and head west, passing through the Stele Corridor and crossing the Jingzhong Bridge to reach the tomb area. Here, there are two tombs, one large and one small, belonging to Yue Fei and his son Yue Yun. Facing the tomb is an archway, with a pair of iron‑cast kneeling statues of traitors on each side. They kneel facing Yue Fei's tomb, seeking forgiveness. On the left side are Qin Hui and his wife Wang. In the past, besides paying homage to the national hero, an important thing for visitors was to spit on these kneeling statues. Nowadays, spitting is no longer allowed, and a sign on the nearby wall reads "Civilised Visit, Please Do Not Spit."

The entire Yue Wang Temple is not large, but it is surrounded by ancient towering trees. It is not far from the tomb area back to the main gate of the temple. The entire visit takes about an hour.

Leifeng Pagoda is one of the Ten Scenes of West Lake in Hangzhou, located on Xizhao Hill on the south bank of West Lake. When the sun sets in the west, the pagoda's shadow stretches across the sky, creating a unique charm, hence it is called "Leifeng Sunset." Many people's "Leifeng Pagoda complex" stems from the legend of Lady White Snake. Although the old pagoda collapsed in 1924, the current one is newly built on the original foundation, preserving the multi‑eaved pavilion‑style structure before the old pagoda was burned down. It completely adopts the style, design, and size of the reconstruction in the early Southern Song Dynasty, and is equipped with an elevator and air conditioning inside.
