It is also the original filming location of "A Deer Island" in the famous game "Memories Off"; the story of "Tsuritama" is set in Enoshima, Shonan, where the original Enoshima legend is adapted as a key plot point; it is also the setting for the anime "Shinryaku! Ika Musume", "Knight of the Area", "Elfen Lied", and "Ping Pong the Animation", as well as an important location in the manga "Sakura Tsuushin".
Atami Fireworks Display
The Atami Fireworks Display is a regularly held fireworks event throughout the year, not limited to summer, and is renowned across Japan. Atami's natural geographical setting makes the fireworks display more dramatic.
Located on the eastern side of the Izu Peninsula, Atami is a popular tourist destination, and the regular fireworks display is one of its biggest attractions. Atami sits on a natural basin coast formed by surrounding mountains, causing the sound of the fireworks to echo throughout the entire town, making the display more impactful and dramatic. The highlight is the "Niagara Falls in the Sky".
This is a regular year‑round fireworks display, not limited to summer.
