Lake Chuzenji was formed by a volcanic eruption about 20,000 years ago. It is the highest‑altitude lake in Japan and has been selected as one of the "100 Best Views of Japan."

image.png

Nikko Tamasawa Goyōtei Memorial Park was originally built as a retreat for Emperor Taishō. It is a complex of buildings showcasing architectural styles from the late Edo, Meiji, and Taishō periods.

image.png

The UNESCO World Heritage Site Nikko Tōshōgū enshrines Tokugawa Ieyasu, the first shōgun of the Edo period. The buildings within the complex feature elaborate carvings, lacquerwork, and vibrant colours crafted by master artisans summoned from across Japan, showcasing the pinnacle of splendour.

image.png

The vermilion‑lacquered wooden Shinkyō Bridge stands at the entrance to Nikko's mountain precinct. Legend has it that when the monk Shōdō Shōnin could not cross the Daiya River, he prayed for divine protection, and two serpents appeared, transforming into this bridge.

image.png

Known locally as "Swan Lake," Kumoba Pond offers stunning scenery that changes with each season, beloved by locals and tourists alike.

image.png

Shiraito Falls, located in northern Karuizawa, originates from Mount Asama. With a drop of 3 metres and a width of 70 metres, it looks from afar like thousands of white silk threads cascading down, offering a profound experience of nature's beauty.

image.png

Karuizawa Kogen Church and Harunire Terrace were built after World War II. The church's predecessor was "Hoshino Academy," a gathering place in the Taishō period for thinkers and literary figures to exchange ideas.

image.png

Kusatsu Onsen is renowned as one of the "Three Famous Springs of Japan." Its source has high acidity and is widely known for its excellent antibacterial properties.

image.png

Viewing Fukiware Falls from above, you can feel the majestic power and awe‑inspiring force of nature. The torrential river surges and crashes between giant rocks with a thunderous roar, creating a spectacular sight.

image.png

The historic Ikaho Onsen was beloved by many literary figures such as Yumeji Takehisa, Roka Tokutomi, and Akiko Yosano. Visitors can fully immerse themselves in the autumnal literary atmosphere.

image.png

Stroll through Ikaho, one of Gunma's finest hot spring resorts.

image.png

Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse served as a state‑of‑the‑art logistics hub from the Meiji to Taishō periods. The exterior still retains its European‑style red brick architecture.

image.png

Standing approximately 296 metres tall, the Yokohama Landmark Tower is the second tallest building in Japan. A key highlight is the Sky Garden on the 69th floor, offering a 360‑degree night view of Yokohama, as well as sights such as Tokyo Tower and Skytree.

image.png

The Shin‑Yokohama Ramen Museum is a ramen‑themed museum featuring famous ramen shops from across Japan, each offering their own unique flavours. All shops in the museum serve mini‑sized bowls of ramen.

image.png

Sankei‑en is a traditional Japanese garden. Within the garden, nationally important historic buildings relocated from various parts of Japan are harmoniously arranged alongside ponds, streams, and rocks, creating a classical, serene atmosphere with distinct charm throughout the four seasons.
