• Explore Cradle Mountain National Park and the World Heritage Area (4‑5 hours)

• Stand by the shores of Dove Lake and admire the breathtaking lake and mountain scenery

• Take on the Dove Lake Circuit walk, an easy 6 km hike (2‑3 hours)

• Alternatively, challenge yourself on the more difficult Marion’s Lookout track, taking in the magnificent views (moderate difficulty, 3 hours)

• Explore the historic Weindorfers Chalet

• Visit the mural town of Sheffield, admiring the outdoor art murals depicting local history scattered throughout the town

• Make a stop at Van Dieman’s Land Ice Creamery

  and Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm to enjoy some delicious treats and recharge for a full day of mountain activities

Cradle Mountain is a stunning World Heritage site; we will spend approximately 4‑5 hours at this national park.

Departing from Launceston, you will make a brief stop at the mural town of "Sheffield".

The day’s itinerary will begin with one of Tasmania’s "Great Short Walks", an easy 20‑minute stroll along Pencil Pine Creek.

• Outbound: 07:20, meet at Grand Chancellor Hotel, 29 Cameron Street, Launceston.

  Please wait in front of the reception counter. Please arrive 10 minutes before departure time.

• Attractions/Experiences: Sheffield, Cradle Mountain, Dove Lake Circuit Start Point, Marion’s Lookout, Van Diemen’s Land Creamery in Elizabeth Town

• Return: 18:00, with pick‑up/drop‑off included

• Itinerary is subject to change depending on traffic and weather conditions

Our main hike will begin at Dove Lake, offering two walking options; you can choose your preferred main route.

The iconic Dove Lake Circuit is an easy 6 km walk (approximately 2‑3 hours).

For more active guests, we offer the opportunity to climb to Marion’s Lookout, a 4 km track with some steep sections, classified as moderate difficulty.

We will stop along the way for lunch and to look out for the famous Cradle Mountain wombats.

We will also visit the delicious "Van Dieman's Land Ice Creamery" and "Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm" before returning to Launceston.
