Want to unlock the most breathtaking coastal memories of southern Tasmania? The Cape Bruny Lighthouse Tour invites you to stand atop a 114‑metre cliff, feel the warmth of over a century of history, and take in the magnificent blend of land and sea!
This is the only lighthouse in southern Tasmania open to the public. Standing on the rugged coastline of Cape Bruny since 1836, it has become a century‑old landmark guarding these waters. What makes it even more special is that company director Craig Parsey grew up in such lighthouse stations, adding a deep passion and expertise for lighthouse culture to this tour.

The 30‑minute interior tour is full of surprises. Climbing the original wrought iron spiral staircase step by step, you'll feel as if you've travelled back to the era of the lighthouse keepers. Once you reach the top and step onto the viewing platform, you'll be instantly awed by the ultimate panoramic view — the blue waves of the Southern Ocean, the wild surging of the Tasman Sea, the steep cliffs of South East Cape, the unique silhouette of Whale Head, and the scattered islands dotting the coastline. Endless scenery unfolds before your eyes, with every frame a wallpaper‑worthy masterpiece.

Beyond the scenery, the human stories add even more depth. Follow the footsteps of local guides, listen to the tales of shipwrecks on nearby islands and reefs, feel the hardships of convicts from bygone days, and learn about the arduous duties of lighthouse keepers who stood watch day and night, as well as their family life on isolated islands. These long‑buried stories give this cold lighthouse warmth and soul.

Nestled in the embrace of Bruny Island, the Cape Bruny Lighthouse is not only a scenic spot but also a witness to history. From the observation deck, the rugged coastline and vast ocean weave together into the most enchanting picture. Whether you're a photography enthusiast capturing light and shadow or a history buff exploring the past, you'll find your place here.

Say goodbye to superficial sightseeing and immerse yourself in the charm of the lighthouse and the grandeur of the island. This iconic Cape Bruny Lighthouse Tour perfectly blends history, scenery, and culture, leaving an indelible mark on your Tasmanian journey. Set off now and unlock this unforgettable coastal adventure!
