Turkish sand‑brewed coffee experience (duration: 1.5 hours).
Experience includes: introduction to Turkish coffee culture, sand‑brewing coffee tutorial, hands‑on brewing and tasting.
The itinerary may be slightly adjusted due to weather or traffic conditions on the day.
Return location: 4F‑7‑8, No. 41, Section 1, Zhongxiao West Road, Zhongzheng District, Taipei City.
Available return times: 12:30, 16:30, 17:00, 18:00 (subject to the booked departure time and itinerary duration).

Want to deeply experience Turkish culture? Don’t miss the seven‑hundred‑year‑old sand‑brewed coffee! This unique experience, listed as an Intangible Cultural Heritage, centres on slowly brewing coffee using a copper pot (Ibrik) buried in high‑temperature quartz sand. The even heat allows the finely ground coffee powder to fully release its aroma, creating a dense golden foam with a thick texture unlike ordinary coffee.
The brewing process is full of ritual: first, drink plain water to cleanse your palate, then enjoy the soothing sight of the coffee master moving the copper pot back and forth. During the 20‑minute slow brewing wait, you can also soak in the exotic atmosphere created by the Turkish tapestries and colourful lanterns in the shop. The most fun part comes after drinking the coffee—a fortune‑telling session, where the patterns left at the bottom of the cup are used to predict your luck, adding a mysterious and interactive element of fun.
