In the morning, explore the world‑famous Kyoto, one of Japan's most important historical and cultural centres. Visit Kyoto's UNESCO‑listed heritage sites, including Nijo Castle, built in 1626 as the residence of the Tokugawa shoguns, and the more widely known Kinkaku‑ji, also known as the Golden Pavilion, which is distinguished by its thin layer of pure gold leaf. Enjoy a delicious lunch after visiting the Kyoto Imperial Palace. In Nara, explore the beautiful green spaces, encounter the famous bowing deer of Nara Park, and have the opportunity to enter the UNESCO World Heritage‑listed Todai‑ji Temple (with its Great Buddha) and Kasuga Taisha Shrine. Comfortable coach transfers are provided, allowing you to tour both cities in a day with ease!
