Product Details

Hanshan Ecotourism Resort is located in Fengliang Town, Fengshun County, Meizhou City, Guangdong Province, and is a national AAAA‑level tourist attraction. Centred around the wonder of "Hanshan Shrouded in Clouds", the resort integrates the thousand‑year‑old Han Yu culture, selenium‑rich tea plantation ecology, and primeval forest canyons, making it a premium resort destination in eastern Guangdong that combines natural healing, cultural immersion, and mountain leisure.

 Key Highlights

The Celestial Wonder of "Hanshan Shrouded in Clouds"

Hanshan ranges from 650 to 1,069 metres in altitude, with clouds and mist swirling at the summit all year round. At dawn and dusk, mist wraps around the peaks like silk, creating the "Hanshan Shrouded in Clouds" spectacle, ranked first among the "Eight Ancient Scenic Wonders of Fengshun". The Cloud Viewing Terrace (at 880 metres) offers the best vantage point, overlooking the ever‑changing sea of clouds and the ink‑wash painting‑like mountain ridges.

Millennium Rhododendron Sea

From late March to early April each year, century‑old alpine rhododendrons bloom in full splendour along the edges of the primeval forest at altitudes of 800–1,000 metres. The ancient trees boast rugged, pine‑like branches, while the flowers are as graceful as peonies, painting the mountainsides in blazing hues of rosy clouds — earning them the title of "The Beauty Among Flowers".

Selenium‑Rich Ecological Tea Plantations

Spanning 2,200 mu across the Lotus Mountain Range, the tea plantations have a soil selenium content of 0.93 mg/kg — double the national standard. Rare varieties such as Jinxuan, Shuixian, and Queshe are cultivated here, and the resulting "Hanshan Rock Dew Tea" (green tea) and "Hanshan Rock Top Red" (black tea) have repeatedly won the title of "Top Ten Famous Teas of Guangdong". Visitors can experience tea‑picking, watch tea art performances, and savour innovative tea‑infused dishes.

Primeval Canyon Hidden Realm

Wellness Valley: A 3‑kilometre primeval forest boardwalk lined with clear streams, ancient trees, and curious rock formations. With off‑the‑charts negative oxygen ion levels, hikers can explore attractions such as the "Thread of Flying Spring" (a waterfall with a 100‑metre drop) and the "Promotion and Fortune Rock" (an auspicious stone formation).

Ingot Lake: Shaped like a Chinese gold ingot, the lake is home to a flock of black swans gliding across its crystal‑clear surface, which mirrors the surrounding mountains like a flawless mirror.

Cultural Heritage

The Cultural Imprint of Han Yu: The mountain is named after the Tang Dynasty literary giant Han Yu, who lodged here en route to his exile in Chaozhou. The ancient post road and the site of Han Yu's overnight stay are still preserved, and the Tea Culture Centre offers visitors the chance to trace copies of Han Yu's poetry calligraphy, experiencing the literary legacy of "the man who revived prose after eight dynasties of decline".

Religion and Folk Customs: The Goddess Mother Palace has seen a century of uninterrupted incense offerings and remains a local pilgrimage site for blessings. Regular performances of Hakka folk songs, Chaozhou opera, and puppet shows showcase the region's intangible cultural heritage.
