Attraction Highlights
Located in the northeastern part of Shizheng Town, Pingyuan County, the Nantai Reclining Buddha is a natural giant Buddha at an altitude of 840 metres, which is the world's largest natural Buddha discovered to date. Stretching 5,200 metres in length and spanning across two provinces, the Buddha’s body lies in Guangdong while its feet extend into Jiangxi. Viewed from the east, it resembles a giant Buddha gazing up to the sky with a joyful laugh; viewed from the south, it looks like a majestic lion crouching majestically.

Nantai Reclining Buddha Mountain is one of the eight famous scenic spots in eastern Guangdong, featuring nine temples including Wuxian Temple, Lüdi Temple, Baiyun Temple, Qingshan Temple, Jinsu Temple, Lehu Temple, Longquan Temple, Shengjiao Cliff, and Lion Cliff. It is an excellent destination for hiking, adventure, painting, photography, ecotourism, leisure, and fitness.
