Located in Fenghuang Town, Dinghu District, Zhaoqing City, within the Guangdong‑Hong Kong‑Macao Greater Bay Area, known as the "Hometown of Longevity in the World," the Golden Ravine Forest Tourist Area is said to have earned its name from local villagers panning for gold in the stream during the Qing Dynasty. The scenic area is within 100 kilometres of Guangzhou and Foshan city centres, and shares the same natural lineage as Dinghu Mountain Scenic Area, one of the "Four Famous Mountains of Lingnan" and a nature reserve. Covering over 6,000 mu (approximately 400 hectares), with a forest coverage rate exceeding 98% and a negative oxygen ion content of 35,000 per cubic centimetre, it is a provincial‑level forest park in Guangdong, hailed as a "natural oxygen bar," a top summer retreat in Lingnan, and the first stop for forest adventure tourism in the Greater Bay Area.

Within the Golden Ravine canyon lies the subtropical primeval jungle waterfall cluster known as the "Golden Nine Falls." Three new popular experiential attractions have recently been launched, among which the glass suspension bridge and aerial rope bridge, stretching 199 metres in length with a 119‑metre drop, are hailed as the "floating bridge above the clouds." Together with the aerial glass water slide, which spans 1,000 metres with a 99‑metre drop, these attractions lead a new trend in high‑altitude sightseeing experiences in South China.

The scenic area also features supporting facilities such as the Gold Panning Paradise, Squirrel Paradise, Cute Pet Paradise, Peace Dove Paradise, high‑altitude challenge courses, rock climbing and camping, Hakka cuisine, and forest lodging. It is an eco‑tourism destination that integrates forest tourism, high‑altitude sightseeing and interactive experiences, outdoor adventure, leisure holidays, and nature science education.

The "Seven Wonders of Golden Ravine" comprise the Golden Ravine Valley, Golden Avenue (Cloud‑top Floating Bridge), Golden Rafting, Golden Heavenly Lake, Golden Cinnamon, Golden Ball Pool, and Golden Theatre (Golden Aerial Acrobatics).
