Located at Xinghu Avenue, Duanzhou District, Zhaoqing City, Xinghu Wetland Park's core attraction area is situated at Fairy Lake. To explore the wetland park, visitors need to take an electric boat, and the entire journey takes about an hour.

Board the boat at the cruise pier and follow the designated route: Eastern Zen Forest Pier ‑ Wetland Park (Crane Island) ‑ Chumidong Pier ‑ Luohan Island Pier. Alternatively, start from the Chumidong Pier at Fairy Lake: Chumidong Pier ‑ Wetland Park (Crane Island) ‑ Eastern Zen Forest Pier ‑ Luohan Island Pier.

Upon stepping onto Crane Island and walking along the wooden boardwalk, visitors can spot the "God of the Wetlands"—the red‑crowned crane. If lucky, one may witness the rare "world‑class spectacle" of red‑crowned cranes flying in formation. Migratory birds can also be observed from a distance using the telescopes installed on the island. Besides red‑crowned cranes, wetland birds such as flamingos, oriental white storks, white‑naped cranes, demoiselle cranes, and grey crowned cranes can be seen.

After bird‑watching, continue by boat to Chumidong Pier, where visitors can view the "Reclining Buddha" formed by several mountains on the opposite side of the lake. After admiring the "Reclining Buddha," one can explore Chumidong Cave or continue the boat ride to the final stop, Luohan Island Pier. After touring Luohan Island, visitors can cross the bridge to explore the Seven Star Crags Scenic Area.
