The MAHA Tower is located in Kuah Town, Langkawi. Construction began in 2014 and was completed in December 2022. It is a new landmark developed by the Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) to attract more tourists. The tower stands approximately 138 metres tall, with an observation deck at the 98‑metre level. The project covers an area of 18,494 square metres, and together with the 46,451‑square‑metre MAHA Square, the total cost was RM140 million.
Architectural Features
• Islamic Art Style: The overall design concept of the tower is centred on Islamic art. Its exterior decoration incorporates exquisite Islamic geometric patterns, arabesque motifs and other elements, showcasing a unique cultural charm and reflecting the refinement and elegance of Islamic culture in its architectural details.
• Modern Construction Craftsmanship: Modern construction techniques and materials are adopted to ensure the tower's stability and safety, while also giving it clean, flowing lines and a contemporary appearance that complements the surrounding natural landscape and cityscape, making it a striking addition to the Langkawi skyline.
Interior Facilities
• Observation Decks: The tower features two observation decks — the Sky Lounge on the 18th floor and the Sky Deck on the 33rd floor. At the Sky Lounge, visitors can enjoy air‑conditioned comfort indoors, savour snacks and beverages, or step out to the outdoor viewing area to overlook Kuah Town, the Straits of Malacca and the surrounding mountains. The indoor observation area of the Sky Deck, meanwhile, offers a 360‑degree panoramic view of Kuah Town.

• Dining and Conference Facilities: The tower houses a restaurant capable of seating 250 people, offering visitors a diverse culinary experience. In addition, it is equipped with an auditorium, meeting rooms and more, catering to a variety of events such as business conferences and wedding celebrations.
Visitor Experience
• Daytime Sightseeing: By day, climbing the MAHA Tower offers a clear view of the entire island of Langkawi, including lush tropical rainforests, pristine white beaches, azure waters and the many islands scattered across the sea — a chance to admire the magnificent natural beauty bestowed upon Langkawi.
• Sunset Viewing: Purchasing a sunset ticket and ascending the tower in the early evening is an excellent choice. As the sun gradually sets, golden rays spill over Kuah Town's buildings and the sea, painting the entire world in shades of orange and red, creating a picturesque scene.
• Night‑time Light Show: At night, the MAHA Tower resembles a radiant pearl, with colourful lights projected onto its structure that intermingle with the surrounding night‑time scenery, adding a romantic and dreamy ambience to Langkawi's evenings. Visitors can admire this dazzling light show from the base of the tower or from a distance.
