Transportation Guide

Self‑driving:

Starting from Guangzhou, take the Jingzhu Expressway (or Airport Expressway) and switch to the Jiebei Expressway. Get off at Conghua Jiekou exit, head along National Highway 105, then turn onto Wennan Road and drive for about 15 kilometres to arrive.

If departing from Shenzhen, take the Guangshen Expressway and switch to Lixin Road, then take Zengpai Road and follow Wennan Road (towards Paitan) to find the way.

Visitors from other cities can also follow navigation routes via the relevant expressways and national highways.

Public transport: Take the MTR or bus to Zengcheng Coach Terminal first, then change to a special line bus to Paitan Town. From Paitan Town, take a taxi or a local motorcycle taxi to the scenic area. However, this option is relatively cumbersome, so self‑driving or hiring a car is recommended.

Highlights

Thrilling Rafting: The Wudi Rafting course is 5,500 metres in total, with a drop of 391 metres and a maximum drop of 57 metres, taking about 140 minutes in total, making it suitable for thrill‑seekers who want the ultimate adrenaline rush; the Weimeng Rafting course is 2,890 metres long with a drop of 112 metres, featuring 41 consecutive S‑shaped rapids and 8 water play zones, taking about 80 minutes, which is relatively more suitable for most visitors.

Natural Scenery: Dafengmen Scenic Area is located within the Baishuizhai Scenic Area in Zengcheng. Surrounded by stunning peaks and clear waters, canyon rapids, forests and lakes, glacial potholes and unique rocks, waterfalls and deep pools, the area is lush with vegetation and has an extremely high concentration of negative air ions, making it a "great oxygen bar" for refreshing and cleansing the lungs.

Special Activities: Apart from rafting, there are also popular waterfall via ferrata climbing, immersive canyon stream trekking, the picturesque Lingnan Five‑Colour Lake, an unspoiled ecological secret beach, and energetic kayaking and paddleboarding activities, catering to the needs of different visitors.

Suggested Itinerary: It is recommended to arrive at the scenic area in the morning. Start by visiting Dafengmen Scenic Area to enjoy the natural scenery, following the designated trails and passing by waterfalls and deep pools. In the afternoon, go rafting to experience the thrilling adventure. After rafting, dine and rest at a local farmhouse restaurant nearby.

Reminders:

Take sun protection measures and prepare a waterproof bag to prevent items such as mobile phones from getting wet.

Wear comfortable, quick‑drying clothing and non‑slip shoes.
