Product Details

On Wan Li Hu Road in Singapore, there lies a 28‑hectare animal kingdom — the Singapore Zoo. As a key member of the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, it has captivated visitors from around the world since opening to the public in 1973, and is now recognised as one of the best tropical rainforest zoos in the world.930-1.jpg

The hallmark of the Singapore Zoo is its open‑concept design. Instead of traditional cages and fences, the zoo uses natural barriers such as tropical forests and lakes. Visitors can clearly observe the animals without the obstruction of cold iron mesh, while the animals live freely in a comfortable environment without artificial confinement. This design not only offers a more natural viewing experience for visitors but also restores the animals' wild habitats, allowing them to display their most authentic behaviours and states.930-5.jpg

Stepping into the zoo, it feels like entering a fascinating animal world. It is home to over 300 species and more than 4,200 animals, covering reptiles, primates, aquatic species, amphibians, and many other categories. Following the walking trail, the first thing that catches your eye might be the adorable Malayan tapirs. These large creatures, with their unique black‑and‑white colouring and long snouts, stroll leisurely within their territory. Not far away, proboscis monkeys hang upside down from branches; their unusually large and long noses look comical, and they occasionally make distinctive calls as if welcoming visitors.930-4.jpg

The orangutan exhibit is the zoo's largest and most unique area, and the world's first free‑ranging orangutan zone. Elevated walkways are combined with the free‑range area, allowing orangutans to move freely and play among the trees. Visitors can observe their every move up close — watching them grasp branches with agility or bask lazily in the sun — and appreciate the intelligence and charm of these primates.930-9.jpg

Continuing deeper into the zoo, you arrive at the African Savannah zone. Here, giraffes gracefully stretch their necks to eat leaves, zebras gallop in herds, and African lions patrol their "territory" with majestic pride, making visitors feel as though they are on the real African plains. The zoo has also meticulously created the Ethiopian Great Rift Valley exhibit, where rugged rocks and a dry climate simulate a realistic living environment for the animals that dwell there.930-3.jpg

Beyond observing animals, visitors can also take part in a variety of fun activities. During the "Breakfast with Orangutans" experience, guests can enjoy a delicious meal while getting up close with the adorable orangutans, and even take photos to create unforgettable memories. The zoo also offers feeding sessions, where visitors can hand‑feed animals such as giraffes and elephants under the guidance of staff, enjoying the joy of close interaction with the creatures.

Over the years, the Singapore Zoo has earned numerous international and local awards and accolades, thanks to its outstanding management, unique design, and rich collection of animal species. It is not just a zoo for leisure; it is also an educational base that spreads knowledge about animals and advocates for wildlife conservation. Here, while admiring the animals, visitors can gain deeper insights into their living habits and the importance of protecting them.930-8.jpgThe Singapore Zoo perfectly blends nature with the city, offering visitors a wonderful animal adventure. Whether you are an animal lover or a casual visitor, you will find your own joy and rewards here, leaving with unforgettable memories.930-2.jpg
