Explore the heritage of Chinese calligraphy as an art form and cultural identity
Understand the origins, values, and symbolism of traditional calligraphy in the context of Singapore
Practice brush techniques and skills using authentic calligraphy tools
Create your own calligraphy artwork while experiencing the meditative essence of this art
Gain cultural insights into how Singapore preserves and celebrates calligraphy
Through a 1.5‑hour hands‑on experience, explore the timeless art of calligraphy and its historical and cultural significance in Singapore, from ancestral halls to festive couplets. Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, you will learn the philosophy behind the brush and ink, practise basic strokes, and create your own calligraphy piece while experiencing the tranquil beauty of this traditional craft.
