Xunliao Bay is located in the southern part of Pingshan Town, Huidong, along the Golden Bay Avenue. The water quality here is among the cleanest in Guangdong, making the bay quite famous. It gets very lively on weekends, with many tourists coming from Guangzhou and Shenzhen to visit.

The coastline of Xunliao Bay is very long, stretching over 20 kilometres, and is dotted with many bays. Among the beaches, there are public ones such as Golden Bay and Deze Garden, as well as islands like Delta Island and Fengchi Island, and attractions like the Mangrove Forest and Tin Hau Temple.

Mozi Stone Scenic Area is one of the more famous beaches in Xunliao Bay, so it tends to be quite crowded, and most people come to this beach to play. If you prefer a quieter spot, you can head to the bay near Nanhai Fishing Village, which is a popular place for locals. The water quality there is no worse than that of Mozi Stone Scenic Area, and although the beach quality is slightly inferior, it is relatively less crowded.

Island holidays are all quite similar: you can stroll along the white sandy beach and enjoy a leisurely mood; collect seashells and sunbathe on the beach; or take part in a unique fishing trip out at sea. Of course, you can also rush into the sea to splash around, step on the waves, and act like a child.

About Accommodation

There are many hotels in Xunliao Bay, and the advantage is that most of them offer a sea view, have a good location, and come with relatively well‑established service facilities.

Golden Bay Avenue has hotels and inns of various grades. If you want to save a bit of money, you can also consider staying at a guesthouse on Xunping Road. Although you won't get a sea view, you can see farmland and green hills, which is also quite pleasing to the eye, and the walk to the bay is not far.

About Dining

There are many seafood stalls here, and the food is very fresh. You can enjoy dishes like salt and pepper mantis shrimp, stir‑fried flower crab with ginger and spring onion, and steamed sea fish to your heart's content. If you need to buy seafood, you can find a market in Xunliao Town that is a bit hard to locate; you may need to ask the locals. Generally, fishermen return in the afternoon and sell their freshly caught seafood right next to the market.
