Itō City

Itō City is a renowned hot spring town on the eastern side of the Izu Peninsula, facing the Pacific Ocean. Itō Onsen is one of the three major hot spring resorts in Japan, with mild water quality and numerous hot spring inns lining the streets. Jōgasaki Coast is famous for its steep basalt cliffs and suspension bridges, offering spectacular sea views. Mount Ōmuro is a conical volcano where you can take a ropeway to the summit for a panoramic view of the Izu Peninsula. The Izu Plateau has a strong artistic atmosphere, with many art museums and cafés.
