London Barbican Centre Stages An Anatomy Of Melancholy In September 2026
The Barbican Centre in London presents Anatomy of Melancholy from Wednesday 16 to Sunday 20 September 2026. Staged in The Pit theatre, the production is a theatrical meditation inspired by Robert Burton's 17th-century work on melancholia and the music of Tudor composer John Dowland.

Visitors are advised to arrive in good time, as latecomers may not be admitted once the show begins.

Standard tickets are priced at £49, which includes a £45 ticket cost plus a £4 transaction fee. Young Barbican tickets are available for £12 for individuals aged 16 to 25. Members, Corporate Members, and groups qualify for specific discounts and booking conditions subject to availability. Access tickets are £49 with free essential companion tickets available for registered participants.

The venue is located at Silk Street, London, EC2Y 8DS, on Level -2 of the main Barbican building. The centre is accessible by bus, tube, train, foot, and bicycle.
