Beach, Dining and Outdoors

The Zeekant and Koningin Emmaboulevard offer views of the Nieuwe Waterweg and fresh fish at local restaurants and beach pavilions. Notable spots include Uluwatu Beach, R Port Beachclub, Pele Surf Shack which serves a vegetarian and vegan menu, and Villa on the Beach. Visitors can walk through the dunes, cycle along the coast, or visit the Noorderpier, where the first half remains accessible to walkers and fishermen.

Travel and Transport
Free parking spaces are available near the beach, though they fill up quickly on busy days, making the metro to Hoek van Holland Strand an alternative. Motorhome travellers can stay in designated areas at ONS Recreatieoord or at five spaces on the Koningin Emmaboulevard for a maximum of 2 times 24 hours. The Hoeksveer bicycle and pedestrian ferry connects Hook of Holland at Berghaven to Maasvlakte 2, though the sailing season ended on 13 September 2026 and resumes on Thursday 6 May 2027.
