Kaohsiung is welcoming a major new lifestyle hub with the arrival of LaLaport. Combining immersive digital art, diverse dining choices, and strong transport connections, the shopping centre brings a fresh destination to the city.

ARTE MUSEUM: Immersive Digital Art

One of the most anticipated highlights is the debut of ARTE MUSEUM in Taiwan. Created by the Korean digital design team d'strict, the venue focuses on the concept of eternal nature. It uses large-scale visuals, surround sound, and custom fragrances to envelop visitors in scenes of mountains, oceans, and natural landscapes. Audiences can walk directly into the artworks, engaging multiple senses throughout the journey. This installation establishes the complex as a notable arts destination.

Hi-Lai Foods and Diverse Dining Options

Hi-Lai Foods, a prominent name in Kaohsiung, is confirmed to open within the centre. The shopping mall will gather popular Japanese dining brands alongside domestic and international options. Whether visitors need a casual weekday meal, a gathering with friends, or a weekend family dinner, the complex provides multiple choices in one location. Pairing Japanese lifestyle features with familiar local restaurant brands gives the dining selection a distinct Kaohsiung identity.

Urban Green Nest and Surrounding Area

Architecturally, the building adopts the concept of an urban green nest, integrating bright, open indoor spaces with comfortable circulation paths. The surrounding area features the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying) and large green spaces. Inside, the mall combines shopping, dining, art, and entertainment. Together with Weiwuying, the district forms a complete lifestyle zone where people can watch performances, take walks, dine, and shop.

Transport and Practical Access

Practical Tips

* Driving Access: Starting from Jing-Zhong-Yang and heading along Chengcing Road toward Fongshan takes approximately 15 minutes to reach LaLaport Kaohsiung.

* MRT Connections: The under-construction Kaohsiung MRT Yellow Line runs from Niaosong through Dapei Road, Chengcing Road, and Weiwuying. Upon reaching Y18/O10 Weiwuying Station, passengers can transfer to the Orange Line for one stop to reach Fongshan West Station, which is near LaLaport.
