Throughout September, various districts across Incheon will host a diverse lineup of cultural events, performances, exhibitions, and hands-on programmes ahead of the Chuseok holiday. These twenty events span historical walking tours, classical concerts, theatre productions, dance performances, choir festivals, island music celebrations, and art exhibitions designed for all age groups.

Jemulpo-gu Open Port and National Maritime Museum Programmes

The Jemulpo-gu open port area and nearby cultural spaces feature a series of historical walking tours, immersive sensory concerts, and humanities lectures.

The local chamber ensemble i-Sinfonietta is organising a programme titled 'A Day at the Open Port, A Time Travel Completed Through Performance'. It is divided into Course A, where participants wear modern vintage clothing while walking through the open port area, and Course B, which offers a guided walking tour with professional commentary. Both courses include musical performances.

At the Jemulpo-gu Noodle Platform and Sinpo International Market, the 'Shinnajang Experience Programme' continues with activities including fusion jajangmyeon tortilla roll making, dasik and canele baking, and shopping bag crafting sessions.

The Incheon Art Platform C Performance Hall is staging 'Concert in the Dark: A Secret Forest Where Five Senses Awaken'. This sensory-immersive performance requires attendees to wear blindfolds and focus entirely on sound, scent, and resonance. The same venue will also host the theatre company Inpa's 10th-anniversary commemorative performance titled 'Crazy Bird'.

Additionally, the National Maritime Museum of Korea, in collaboration with the Inha University Institute for Korean Studies, has prepared a lecture series exploring Incheon's maritime history, cultural exchanges, beliefs, and notable historical figures every Saturday.

Michuhol-gu Theatre and Lifelong Education Programmes

Michuhol-gu offers engaging theatrical workshops and outdoor musical events. The Incheon National University Lifelong Education Centre is running 'Lecture Performance, Turning Life into Theatre', a programme where participants turn their personal autobiographical stories into scripts for stage performances.

The Munhak Theater is staging Anton Chekhov's classic play 'The Cherry Orchard', presenting a refined version following its initial run and selection as a candidate for the 62nd Dong-A Theatre Awards. Meanwhile, the Michuhol Cultural Centre is hosting an outdoor 'Small Concert with Citizens', featuring genres such as electronic violin and fusion traditional Korean music alongside free interactive activities.

Namdong-gu Art Exhibitions and Outdoor Performances

In Namdong-gu, the KMJ Art Gallery is holding an exhibition titled 'Palette of 14 Bluebirds', featuring works by 14 developmental disorder artists from the Incheon region exploring the common theme of dreams.

The Incheon Culture & Arts Centre Small Concert Hall will host the Incheon City Theatre Company's 98th regular performance, 'Seeing Off', a family-oriented creative drama ahead of Chuseok. The outdoor stage will also host 'Outdoor Stage, Open Up!', featuring Samulnori performances, popera, crossover concerts, and clown theatre.

Yeonsu-gu Concerts and International Choir Festival

Art Center Incheon in Yeonsu-gu is hosting an 'Anime Concert' at its multipurpose hall, featuring Japanese animation soundtracks rearranged for a woodwind ensemble.

The Incheon City Choir is organising the 12th Incheon International Choir Festival across five days in the concert hall, bringing together choir groups from all over the country. The final day's events will take place at the Incheon Culture & Arts Centre Grand Concert Hall. Art Center Incheon will also host the Inha Orchestra's 43rd regular concert, 'Prelude'.

Bupyeong-gu Children's Dance Theatre and Festivals

Bupyeong Art Centre presents the children's dance theatre production 'Star and Earth Star' at the Danuri Theatre, accompanied by a concurrent exhibition at Gallery Kkotnuri. The venue will also hold the 2026 Bupyeong Disabled Arts and Culture Festival and Code Art's crossover performance 'CLOCK: Classical and Rock, Crossing Time and Genres'.
