Paris has outlined a vibrant lineup of parades and street celebrations for 2026, offering visitors an array of open-air cultural events across the city. Note that two historic events, the Carnaval de Paris and the Carnaval des femmes, will no longer take place as their organizing association has ended them.

Spring and Cultural Celebrations
Cultural festivities kick off early in the year on 1 February with the Happy Spring Festival on the Avenue des Champs-Elysées, celebrating Lunar New Year in the Year of the Fire Horse with traditional lion and dragon dances. On 14 February, Vincennes hosts its 2nd Carnaval starting from Place Pierre Semard, featuring batucadas, stilt walkers, and confetti. The 13th arrondissement hosts its own Lunar New Year Parade on 1 March, complete with firecrackers, silk-costumed dancers, dragons, and street food stalls. Later in the summer, the Carnaval Tropical takes over the Champs-Elysées on 5 July with soca rhythms, colourful costumes, and dance competitions.

Late Summer and Autumn Highlights

The second half of the year features a wide variety of cultural, musical, and themed street parades:
Fête de Ganesh (30 August): Takes place in La Chapelle in the 18th arrondissement around the Temple de Sri Manicka Vinayakar Alayam, featuring decorated floats, traditional drummers, incense, and the ritual smashing of coconuts.
Techno Parade (19 September): Begins at Place de la Bastille, offering a free public street party with mobile sound systems and local and international DJs.
Marche des Fiertés (3 October): Departs from Place d'Italie at 1:30 PM, featuring over a hundred floats celebrating LGBTQIA+ diversity.
Fête des vendanges de Montmartre (10-11 October): Celebrates the grape harvest at Clos-Montmartre near Sacré-Cœur with regional food and wine brotherhoods participating in the Grand Défilé.
Zombie Walk (17 October): A Halloween-themed procession of costumed participants moving through the city streets.
