Travellers visiting Paris have a unique opportunity to witness heritage preservation in real time at the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel. Work has begun on the restoration of the landmark's famous quadriga, which has been removed for delicate conservation work.
Watch Restorers at Work Through Special Viewing Windows
The restoration process is taking place directly on site in workshops set up at the foot of the construction area. To provide visitors with a rare behind-the-scenes look at art conservation, specially designed windows have been installed in the surrounding palisades, allowing the public to watch every step of the restoration process as it unfolds.
