Join Free Evening Bat Surveys at London's Regent's Park and Primrose Hill
Travelers visiting London this September can experience The Regent's Park & Primrose Hill after dark through a free evening wildlife survey. Organized by the Help Nature Thrive project, these interactive citizen science sessions allow participants to track local bat populations as they emerge to hunt across the park's trees and waterways.

Event Details & Schedule
The guided walks take place on two separate evenings:

Monday, 7 September: 7:15 pm – 9:15 pm
Tuesday, 15 September: 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Each session runs for two hours, starting with a 30-minute indoor introduction followed by a 1.5-hour outdoor survey walk. Participants will learn how scientists monitor bat species like Noctules and Pipistrelles while using specialist bat detectors to listen to echolocation calls in real time.

Booking & Guidelines
Admission is completely free, though pre-booking is required as tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis via Eventbrite. A waiting list will open if sessions reach capacity. The activity is designed specifically for adult attendees aged 18 and over. Visitors who secure a spot but can no longer attend are asked to cancel in advance so tickets can be reallocated.
