Korea's Top 100 Tourist Attractions 2025-26: Seoul's Five Palaces, Jeonju Hanok Village and Jeju's Udo Island Make the List
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) have released the 2025-26 Top 100 Korean Tourism Attractions, featuring Seoul's five royal palaces, Purple Island in Jeollanam-do Province and Udo Island off Jeju.
Now in its seventh edition, the biennial list has been selecting and promoting Korea's most iconic travel hotspots since 2012.
The 100 picks include 61 cultural tourism resources such as historical sites, architecture, and interactive and leisure facilities, plus 39 natural and ecotourism resources including forests, beaches and wetlands.
By region, the Greater Seoul area leads with 22 spots, followed by Gyeongsang-do Province with 28, Jeolla-do with 18, Chungcheong-do with 15, Gangwon-do with 11 and Jeju with six.

27 Newcomers Make Their Debut
Twenty-seven places join the list for the first time, including interactive experiences that let visitors "live like a Korean" - eating ramyeon at a park along the Hangang River, shopping at Sokcho Central Market in Gangwon-do, exploring Gyodongdo Island off Incheon where parts of the hit Netflix series "Squid Game" were filmed, and finding inner peace at Sayuwon garden in Daegu.

14 Evergreen Favorites Return
Another 14 are longtime fixtures, including Seoul's five palaces selected for the seventh consecutive time, Bulguksa Temple and Seokguram Grotto in Gyeongju, and Jeonju Hanok Village - timeless classics for any Korea itinerary.
The ministry will later release a "traveler's passport" featuring all 100 sites, paired with a stamp-collecting tour so visitors can collect souvenirs as they explore. More details are available on the official website of the "Visit Every Corner of Korea" campaign (korean.visitkorea.or.kr).
