Monga Park, next to Longshan Temple and Longshan Temple MRT Station in Taipei's Wanhua District, is undergoing a landscape renovation that will add a mirror pond and dancing water fountain. The Parks and Street Lights Office says the works are expected to finish by late September, with the park reopening in mid-October after inspection.

A Water Plaza as the New Highlight
The park in front of the national monument Longshan Temple is being reorganized to improve landscaping, drainage, lighting and public toilets. Besides the water plaza, the design includes a shallow mirror pond, a corridor, a family pavilion and a fitness area, while reducing visual barriers and adding greenery to open up the sightline from Longshan Temple to the park.
The water plaza will feature a shallow mirror pond and ground-level fountain, usable for splashing and relaxation on normal days, and drainable to become an event space during weekend markets or festivals.
Night Lighting Upgraded
The park will add plaza floodlights, spotlights, pathway lights and linear lighting, combined with the water plaza fountain, giving the park a different look after dark.
Timeline and Connectivity
Construction began on June 19, 2025, with a budget of around NT$206.2 million. The park is expected to reopen in mid-October. The renovation will also strengthen connections to Longshan Temple, the MRT, buses and YouBike stations, integrating pedestrian flows and linking surrounding commercial districts and tourist attractions.
