Busan now hosts Korea's only permanent exhibition hall dedicated to 'The Little Prince.' The Little Prince House opened on March 18 in Gamcheon Culture Village, Saha-gu District, and welcomes visitors daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (entry until 6 p.m.) — a must-see for literature lovers and families.
A gift for 140 years of Korea-France ties
The venue celebrates the classic 1943 novella by French writer Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (1900-44). Marking the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and France, it is the country's first exhibition space themed on the character that is officially sponsored and approved by France's Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Youth Foundation.

Four floors of highlights
The four-story building, once a gallery for local artists, is now entirely devoted to the beloved tale:
・Author zone: an introduction to Saint-Exupéry's life and work
・Media art zone: immersive light displays of 'the desert' and 'the rose'
・Protagonist's world zone: recreating the Little Prince's whimsical journey
・Photo zone: a sculpture of the Little Prince and the fox set against Gamcheon Culture Village

Gamcheon Culture Village's transformation
The Gamcheon-dong neighborhood was formed by refugees during the Korean War (1950-53). Selected for a public art project in 2009, it has since grown into a celebrated culture and arts village. The rooftop Little Prince sculpture offers a panoramic view of the village, and Busan officials note that over three million tourists visited Gamcheon Culture Village last year.
