20 New Cafés to Visit in Bangkok (2026)
A curated list of must-try cafés from coffee curator @17_th_ that serve more than just drinks
"Coffee might be the reason we walk into a shop, but community is the reason we want to come back."
We caught up again with café curator Khun Wa-Thanannop Eiamsunthorn to update the city's new openings, because "just good coffee" no longer seems to be the final answer for Bangkokians this year.
Khun Wa sees this year's vibe as cafés shifting from showing off technique to creating living spaces that connect with specific communities. Today's cafés aren't just selling drinks — they're selling a worldview and building a sense of belonging.
"Good coffee is what gets people through the door, but craft menus like homemade sourdough, or activities like run clubs and design events, are the tools that make people want to come back."
People are paying for time and identity. This year, urbanites are willing to spend more — not for photos, but for quality time, a comfortable seat, and a community that feels like home.
Here are the 20 cafés Khun Wa handpicked for 2026, ranked by buzz and distinctive character.
