Mooku Restaurant in Taipei's Tiaotong District Launches All-You-Can-Eat Tonkatsu
Mooku, a Japanese tonkatsu specialist tucked away in Taipei's Tiaotong district, is running an all-you-can-eat promotion through August 31: dine in with a single-person minimum spend of NT$500 and the aged pork belly katsu is free-flow. Confident big eaters can even order 2 or 3 refills at once. The owner notes a NT$300 surcharge applies if there is obvious leftover food after refills.

Opened late last year, Mooku focuses on aged pork cutlets with three set options — pork tenderloin (hire), pork loin (rosu) and the "giant axe" set — priced from NT$420 to NT$620.

Bonus: Kaneko Hannosuke Tempura Coming to Taiwan
Kin Goshō, part of the Hsiang Chi Kuang restaurant group, announced the overseas debut of "Nihonbashi Tempura Meshi — Kaneko Hannosuke" in Taiwan (named "Kaneko Hannosuke Tempura"), located at Far Eastern GARDEN CITY B2 (Taipei Dome). Counter-style tempura is fried to order, ensuring each bite arrives at its optimal temperature.
