RER A closure in August 2026: how to get to Disneyland Paris from the city centre
Mickey hasn't closed the castle, but reaching it from Paris in August 2026 will take a little extra effort. The RER A closure in August 2026 complicates the usual route to Disneyland Paris. From 8 to 23 August 2026 inclusive, no RER A trains run between Vincennes and Noisy-le-Grand – Mont d'Est, mainly due to track renewal works. The Nation RER station is not served for an even longer period, from 29 June to 30 August 2026 inclusive.
It's a headache for visitors, since the RER A is normally one of the simplest ways to reach the park. Under normal conditions, Disneyland Paris advertises a journey of around 35 minutes between Nation and Marne-la-Vallée – Chessy, the terminus located right in front of the parks.
How to get to Disneyland Paris during the RER A closure
Île-de-France Mobilités has planned a specific route from Paris to bypass the interrupted section: take the RER A towards Boissy-Saint-Léger as far as Nogent-sur-Marne, then a replacement bus to Noisy-le-Grand – Mont d'Est. Once at Noisy-le-Grand, catch the RER A towards Marne-la-Vallée – Chessy, the line's terminus and Disneyland Paris station.
In summary: Paris → RER A to Nogent-sur-Marne → replacement bus to Noisy-le-Grand – Mont d'Est → RER A to Marne-la-Vallée – Chessy.
Why is the RER A closed between Vincennes and Noisy-le-Grand?
The RATP says the interruption from 8 to 23 August 2026 is linked to track renewal works on the eastern section of the line. At Val de Fontenay, the period is also being used for several modernisation operations. The RATP notes that an all-stops shuttle serves Vincennes, Val-de-Fontenay, Neuilly-Plaisance, Bry-sur-Marne and Noisy-le-Grand – Mont d'Est during the interruption.
Returning from Disneyland to Paris: mind the time
This is probably the key detail to remember before getting completely swept up in the parade: the return to Paris needs to be planned ahead. Île-de-France Mobilités warns that journey times will be longer and indicates that, during this works period, the last train from Marne-la-Vallée – Chessy back to Paris is at 11:14 pm. It's best to check your route and timetable on the day, especially via the Île-de-France Mobilités app, whose journey planner incorporates closures and disruptions linked to the works.
