Taiwan's Largest Free Family Amusement Park Opens in Kaohsiung — 30,000 Visitors on Day One

Kaohsiung just got a blockbuster new family attraction! Taiwan's largest semi-indoor, free-admission family amusement park opened on August 8, 2026 at the former Taiwan Railway Kaohsiung Depot, drawing an incredible 30,000 visitors on its very first day. The nearby Kaisyuan Wuchang LRT station saw a 20-fold increase in daily ridership, cementing the park's status as this summer's hottest family destination.

From Railway Depot to 28-Hectare Play Paradise

The park spans 28 hectares within the historic Taiwan Railway Kaohsiung Depot site, beautifully preserving the original high-ceiling steel structures, railway industrial features, and architectural textures while transforming the space into a modern recreational wonderland. With over 30 age-appropriate play facilities, the park caters to toddlers through teens.

Signature Attractions

The park's crown jewel is Taiwan's first-ever Sky Crane Cloud Net — an innovative play structure that repurposes the depot's original overhead crane tracks into a climbing and traversing adventure course. Other highlights include cloud trampolines, a bouldering wall, a parkour training zone, a pump track cycling course, a mini soccer field, and a foam ball pit.

Opening Season Special Events

Through August 23, the park is hosting special weekend events including an outdoor inflatable water park, a 6-metre urban water slide, and character meet-and-greet sessions — giving families one more free option to enjoy the last weeks of summer break.
