South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) have brought the country's biggest festivals to the capital with the launch of the Global K-Festival Pop-up. Running through July 5, 2026 at Seoul Station and the shopping district of Myeong-dong, the pop-up showcases 10 of Korea's leading international festivals to both domestic and international visitors.

Six Global Icons, Four Rising Stars
The six designated 'global festivals' are: Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival, Incheon Pentaport Music Festival, Hwacheon Sancheoneo Ice Festival, Boryeong Mud Festival, Andong Maskdance Festival, and Jinju Namgang Yudeung (Lantern) Festival. The four 'prospective global festivals' include Daegu Chimac (Chicken & Beer) Festival, Busan International Rock Festival, Sunchang Fermented Food Festival, and Jeongnamjin Jangheung Water Festival — all vying to join the ranks of Korea's premier cultural events.
Movie-Theater Vibes and Personalized Festival Tickets
Designed around the slogan 'Feel the Vibe, Live the Festival,' the pop-up space resembles a cinema. Multilingual staff assist foreign guests. Visitors browse festival schedules displayed like movie showtimes, then enter their name, nationality, and preferred movie genres. The system recommends a matching festival and prints a personalized 'movie ticket' as a keepsake.
A 'Life 4 Cuts'-style photo booth lets visitors snap pictures against festival-themed backdrops. Those who complete all activities are entered into a prize draw for souvenirs and discount coupons redeemable at the actual events across Korea.
