Lake Toya's legendary long-run fireworks display is an extraordinary commitment — shooting roughly 450 pyrotechnic shells into the night sky every single evening for nearly half the year. Launched from a boat that slowly cruises the shoreline, the display is designed so that wherever you happen to be around the lake, you're guaranteed a front-row seat.
As darkness settles over the caldera lake, that first deep boom reverberates through the valley, announcing the show.
